Users at organizations using Active Directory authentication (ADFS or Azure AD) experienced a partial outage yesterday that prevented users from completing login. The cause was a change in the ion authentication configuration to heighten security. However, we made a mistake that didn't transition the users of these systems over in time for the change. The issue was quickly identified and users were restored. Users of the Azure AD authentication method had restored service within 20 minutes. However, users of the ADFS authentication method had a longer outage. Both have since been addressed, and users are able to log in. We are putting in place preventative measures to ensure up-to-date configurations for future changes to the authentication flow.
